Background
Energias Calumbi power station participated as a bidder in Brazil's September 2022 national energy auction[4] but was not selected as a winner; in September 2024, after two full years without further news, the project was reclassified as shelved. Through March and September 2025 the project remained without updates. In June 2026, after the project failed to be contracted in Brazil's March 2026 LRCAP energy auction, it was reclassified as cancelled-inferred.[5]
