Esfahan Steel Isfahan plant (شرکت ذوب آهن اصفهان (‎Persian)), also known as ESCO, Esfahan Aryamehr Steel Company (Predecessor), is a blast furnace-basic oxygen furnace (BF-BOF) and electric arc furnace (EAF) steel plant operating in Lenjan, Isfahan, Iran.

Background

Esfahan Steel began operating in 1971 and was/is the first and largest manufacturer of construction steel products in Iran.[1] The company's government registration number is 25230.[2]

In 2015, an explosion at the plant killed three workers and injured another four.[3]
