Eurallumina power station was a proposed 95-megawatt (MW) coal-fired power plant in Sardinia, Italy.
The project was cancelled in April 2018.
The undated satellite photo below shows the proposed location for the plant, at the Eurallumina alumina refinery in Portovesme, Carbonia-Iglesias.
Russia-based Rusal had proposed a 95 MW (285 MWth) coal-fired power plant to provide energy and steam to its Eurallumina alumina refinery in Portovesme, Carbonia-Iglesias. However, in April 2018 the project was cancelled, and power will be sourced from Enel's existing Sulcis (Grazia Deledda) Coal Power Plant.
