Background

The Ezanga oil pipeline network connects a number of oil wells in Gabon's Ogooué-Maritime province with two export terminals at Cap Lopez and Gamba. The pipelines are owned by several companies: Maurel & Prom, Perenco, Addax Petroleum (owned by Sinopec), and Assala Energy (owned by the Carlyle Group). The pipelines are 12 and 18 inches.[1]
