Background

Development of the project began in May 2015. The power station station came online in August 2017.[1]

In August 2022, PT Fajar Surya Wisesa Tbk stated that the company would be servicing and prioritizing the use of their 70 MW gas turbines with the goal of "reducing the burden of coal carbon emissions in accordance with government recommendations" (Google translate), indicating that the 55 MW coal-fired unit would operate at a reduced utilization rate.[2]
