Background
The Western Cement Manufacturing Co plant in Fallujah had not operated for approximately four decades, when in was restarted in 2018.[3] As of January 2026, the plant was operating to produce approximately 900 tonnes of cement daily, with plans to expand capacity to up to 5,000 tonnes per day.[4]
