Background

Fangda Special Steel is publicly-listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange (600507 SH). The company was included in the list of steel companies to be rectified due to safety issues. On September 8, 2019, the Ministry of Emergency Management issued the Announcement No. 18 of 2019, which listed the company in the second batch of units and personnel for untrustworthy work safety.[1]
