Background
The Foz do Amazonas–Calçoene Gas Pipeline was one of eight new gas pipelines proposed in a 2023 government report on offshore gas development.[1] The proposed pipeline would run from the FZA-M-59 oil and gas block in the Foz do Amazonas basin off the coast of Amapá state to a gas processing unit in Calçoene, Amapá state, Brazil.[1]
As of March 2025, the project was still listed as one of several offshore pipeline projects under consideration by the Brazilian government.[2]
