Background

The pipeline is also known as "Strait West Gas Pipeline Network Phase I".[4] It supplies natural gas to 5 major coastal cities along the pipeline, Fuzhou, Putian, Xiamen, Jinjiang and Zhangzhou, including 3 gas power stations.[5]

The Fujian LNG receiving station primarily sources its natural gas from Indonesia's Donggu gas field and also receives LNG resources from 13 countries and regions along the 'Belt and Road' initiative, including Malaysia, Nigeria, and Qatar.[6]
