Fuqing LNG Terminal

Fuqing LNG Terminal, also known as PetraChina Fujian LNG Terminal, 中石油福清LNG接收站, 福建LNG接收站, and 中国石油福建海峡零碳能源港储转工程, is an in-construction LNG import terminal in China.

Background
Fuqing LNG Terminal is a proposed 3 mtpa LNG import terminal in Donghan Town, Fuqing. It is sponsored by PetroChina of China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC).[4][5]
Fuqing LNG terminal project was among the list of Fujian major construction projects 2023. But no details can be found.[6] A bidding notice for the supporting berth of the LNG terminal was released in October 2022, indicating the project is still active.[7]
In April 2023, the environment impact assessment of the project was made for public.[8]
In December 2024, the construction of the "transfer and storage" (中国石油福建海峡零碳能源港储转工程) project of the LNG terminal began.[9]
As of early 2026, the project was still under construction and is expected to commence operations in 2027.[10][11]
