Ownership Tree

Background

In 2012 China Datang was planning a 400 MW coal-fired plant in Fuxin city.[2] The power station was a coal gasification plant.[3]

However, by 2014 there had been no developments on the project, which was apparently abandoned. Instead, Datang began building a 4 billion cubic meter/year coal gasification plant in Fuxin, which the company had been trying to sell.[4]

As of 2018 China Datang was still owner of the coal gasification plant, with 190 MW of coal-fired power supporting the gasification. 100 MW of that capacity was under construction.[5]

Units 1-2 totaling 100 MW were commissioned in 2020.[6][7]

As of June 2021 there have been no developments on units 4-5, which appear to be cancelled. In June 2022, Phases II and III (Units 3-5) were officially cancelled by the Liaoning Provincial Development and Reform Commission.[8]
