Background
The Phase One project, consisting of two 1000MW ultra-supercritical coal-fired units, commenced operation in 2011. [4]
The Guangdong Provincial Development and Reform Commission has proposed advancing the Phase Two of this project in the 2023 key construction project plan, which involves establishing a project with two 600MW gas-fired turbine units.[5]
