Gulei Petrochemical Base South Cogen power station (古雷石化基地热电联产南部) is an operating power station of at least 130-megawatts (MW) in Gulei Town, Zhangpu, Zhangzhou, Fujian, China with multiple units, some of which are not currently operating. It is also known as 古雷石化基地热电联产南部一期 (Phase I Unit 1 & 2), 古雷石化基地热电联产南部二期 (Phase II Unit 3 & 4).

Background
In 2024, Phase I Unit 1issued multiple procurement tenders for the EPC general contracting of the 2×65MW back-pressure turbine generator units[8][9].
In May 2025, Unit 1 successfully passed the 72+24 hour trial operation[10]. The project is part of the broader Zhangzhou Gulei Petrochemical Base cogeneration plan approved in November 2024[11].
Both Phase I units fully completed the 72+24 hour full-load trial operation and were formally commissioned by September 2025[12].
In January 2024, the Phase II project held its commencement ceremony[13].
By July 2024, comprehensive construction mobilization began, with concrete pouring documented[14].
In 2025, the project received approval for its general layout plan change in September[15].
In March 2026, the boiler ignition and blow-pipe work was completed[16].
Phase II Unit 4 achieved its first successful grid connection in April 2026[17].
