Background

Jayaswal Neco Industries Limited (JNIL) has formed a subsidiary company named Raigarh Energy Limited (REL) to develop the Hamirpur thermal power plant at Raigarh, Chhattisgarh. The estimated project cost is Rs. 3337.26 crores.[1]

Since 2011, there have been no reports of further progress on the project, and there is no mention of it on the Jayaswal Neco website. It appears the project has been shelved or abandoned.
