Background

Çukurova Demtaş Enerji Üretim has proposed a 600 MW coal plant in Yumurtalık.[1][2]

As of 2017, the project's EIA has been cancelled by Turkey's Ministry of Environment and Urbanization.[3] As of May 2021 the project had not progressed in more than four years, and appears to be cancelled.
