Background

Unit 1-1 has a total installed capacity of 176.5MW. The gas turbine generator set started operation in December 1996 with a rated power of 123MW, and the steam turbine generator set started operation in October 1997 with a rated power of 53.5MW. Initially, the unit used light diesel oil for power generation, but it switched to heavy oil in June 2000 and underwent a transformation to natural gas power generation in June 2005.[6]
