Background
In June 2000, the project reached financial closure.[7]In December 2001, the plant came online. The project reduced the power shortages by 360 MW, with an average annual offtake exceeding 2500 GWh per year.[8] From 2001 to 2012, the capacity factor was at least 87% each year.[7]
