Background

HeidelbergCement Bangladesh Limited is one of the largest manufacturers of top-quality cement in Bangladesh, and represents two reputed brands: RubyCement and ScanCement.[2]

In 2021, HeidelbergCement Bangladesh decided to amalgamate its subsidiary Emirates Cement. Emirates Cement Bangladesh operated Munshiganj plant with a production capacity of 0.66Mt/yr.[3][4]
