Henan Yongcheng power station (中煤河南永城“两个联营”暨综合能源基地项目, 中煤永城2×1000兆瓦高效超超临界机组) is an operating power station of at least 630-megawatts (MW) in Yongcheng, Shangqiu, Henan, China with multiple units, some of which are not currently operating. It is also known as 中煤商丘(永城)2x1000MW高效超超临界机组 (New Unit 1 & 2), 永煤集团裕东发电厂 (Unit 1 & 2).

Background
Yongcheng power station is a two-unit coal-fired power plant with a total capacity of 630 MW.[3] The plant was completed in 2005, and is owned by Yongcheng Mine Group.[4][5] An additional 2,000 MW of coal capacity is under development.
New Project
A new project was listed in Yongcheng City's 14th Five-Year plan.[6][7]
The project was permitted November 3, 2022.[8] Construction reportedly began December 29, 2022.[9]
The project was so rushed that based on available information, it was hard to tell if it was being built at the same site or if the project was a relocation. There is a possibility the older 2 x 315 MW could be shut down to make room for the new one.[10]
The 2×1000MW project progressed significantly in 2024-2025, with foundation works completed in December 2024[11] and the first concrete pour for the cooling tower in February 2025[12].
Construction continued through 2025-2026, with the Unit 1 boiler water pressure test completed in June 2026[13].
Unit 2 construction progressed with the generator foundation pour in March 2025[14] and boiler steel structure erection in April 2025[15]. By 2026, Unit 2 had completed the DCS power-on[16] and boiler water pressure test[17].
