The Hillalong coal project is a proposed group of mines, currently investigated by Queensland Coal Exploration, a subsidiary of Shandong Energy Group, to produce 4.2 million tonnes per annum, in Glenden, 170 km west of Mackay, Queensland, Australia.[1]
The complex would include two surface mines and an underground mine.[1]

Coal Mine Background
Queensland Coal Exploration, a subsidiary of Shandong Energy Group is currently pursuing the project proposal.[1] In July 2029, they opened the mine for a feasibility study.[2]
