Background on Plant

Hongyang Lianyungang power station is a 3 x 40 MW coal plant in Xuwei New Area - Lianyungang City, owned by Sinopec. The units were commissioned from 2016 to 2018.[1]

Expansion

An additional nine units totaling 415 MW is proposed and planned for commissioning in 2021.[2][3]

Construction began in September 2020.[4]
