Background

In 1959, the plant saw major modernization efforts, including the installation of four shaft kilns, a crushing plant, six raw material containers, a raw mill, and three reinforced-concrete silos. In 2006, the Horne Srnie plant underwent a significant transformation when it merged with the trading company CEMUS, s.r.o. Horné Srnie. This merger led to the establishment of CEMMAC a.s., consolidating operations under a unified corporate structure. The facility has continually upgraded its technology to enhance production efficiency and environmental performance. Notably, the plant operates a 5-stage preheater with a precalciner kiln system, utilizing ball mills for cement grinding.
