Huadian Tengger power station (内蒙古华电腾格里煤电厂) is a power station under construction in Alxa Left Banner, Alxa, Inner Mongolia, China. It is also known as 内蒙古华电腾格里外送基地项目.

Background
Huadian Tengger 4×1000MW coal power project will be used as a peak-shaving power supply for the Tengger Desert Clean Energy Base to support its electricity exports.[4]
The feasibility study was passed in March 2023.[5] Boiler, steam turbine, and generator procurement bidding was called in May 2023.[6]
In July 2023, Harbin Electric Machinery Co., Ltd. won a bid for plant's turbine generators and ancillary equipment.[7]
In 2023, major equipment orders were placed. In 2024, preliminary design review was tendered.
In 2025, the project received approval in February. Major equipment procurement and construction bidding progressed. In September 2025, major equipment and construction contracts were awarded. In October 2025, the EIA was approved. In November 2025, land use was approved. Unit 1 concrete was poured in December 2025[8].
In 2026, equipment procurement and construction progressed. Unit 1 boiler steel erection began in May 2026[9]. Unit 2 boiler steel erection began in June 2026[10].
