Background

The four existing coal-fired units of Huadian Weifang power station, totaling 2,000 MW (2 x 670 MW and 2 x 330 MW), were brought online between 1993 and 2007. The plant is owned by China Huadian.[1]

Description of Expansion

Huadian was reportedly planning to build two additional coal-fired units at this plant, with a total capacity of 2,000 MW,[2] but plans do not appear to have advanced, and were likely cancelled.
