Background
Huadian Zhangqiu Gas Thermal power station (华电章丘燃机热电厂) received approval from the Jinan Municipal Development and Reform Commission on August 30, 2017. [7]Construction officially began on June 18, 2022. Unit 1 and Unit 2 are planned to commence operation in December 2023 and March 2024, respectively.[8]
