Background

Huaneng Chongqing Liangjiang Gas power station project is approved to construct 5 sets of F-class natural gas combined heat and power units. [13]

The first phase of the project started in December 2012 and was put into operation in 2014.

The second phase of the project commenced in July 2023 and is expected to be operational by March 2026.[14]
