Yudean was hiring workers to build the facility as of September 2019.[3]

On Sep 2018, Guangdong Province, Huizhou City,signed a memorandum of cooperation for the Huizhou LNG terminal with ExxonMobil.[4]

The LNG terminal was planning to build three 200,000-cubic-meter storage tanks, with receiving capacity of 4 mtpa. [5]

On January 2020, the Energy Conservation Report of Huizhou LNG Terminal was approved by Guangdong Provincial Energy Bureau.[6]

The construction of Huizhou LNG Terminal began on August 2021.[2]
