Huizhou LNG Terminal, also known as 粤电惠州LNG接收站, is an LNG import terminal in China with units that are proposed and operating.

Background
Phase 1(惠州LNG接收站项目一期)
Huizhou LNG Terminal (惠州LNG接收站) is a LNG terminal under construction in Huizhou, Guangdong, China.
Yudean was hiring workers to build the facility as of September 2019.[10]
On Sep 2018, Guangdong Province, Huizhou City,signed a memorandum of cooperation for the Huizhou LNG terminal with ExxonMobil.[11]
The LNG terminal was planning to build three 200,000-cubic-meter storage tanks, with receiving capacity of 4 mtpa. [12] Phase 1 has a baseload capacity of 4 mtpa and a maximum capacity of 6.1 mtpa. [13]
On January 2020, the Energy Conservation Report of Huizhou LNG Terminal was approved by Guangdong Provincial Energy Bureau.[14]
In July 2021, Huizhou LNG terminal project was permitted by the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC).[15]
The construction of Huizhou LNG Terminal began in August 2021.[16] The operating date was set at the end of 2023 or early 2024.[17][18]
As of January 2023, the construction is ongoing. [19]
The construction is at the very end stage as of January 2024.[20]
The first LNG cargo arrived at Huizhou LNG terminal, marking the operation of the terminal[21].
Phase 2 (惠州LNG接收站项目二期）
On September 24, 2024, the Guangdong Provincial Development and Reform Commission approved the Phase 2 project.[22]
In 2026, the project was included in both the “20 Key Provincial Projects on the Renping Peninsula” and “Huizhou’s 176 Key Provincial Projects.” [23][24]
