Phase 2

A second phase was proposed and will add three storage tanks of 260,000 cubic meters each. The total receiving capacity will reach 10 mtpa.

Background

Yudean was hiring workers to build the facility as of September 2019.

On Sep 2018, Guangdong Province, Huizhou City,signed a memorandum of cooperation for the Huizhou LNG terminal with ExxonMobil.

The LNG terminal was planning to build three 200,000-cubic-meter storage tanks, with receiving capacity of 4 mtpa.

On January 2020, the Energy Conservation Report of Huizhou LNG Terminal was approved by Guangdong Provincial Energy Bureau.

In July 2021, Huizhou LNG terminal project was permitted by the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC).

The construction of Huizhou LNG Terminal began in August 2021. The operating date was set at the end of 2023 or early 2024.

As of January 2023, the construction is ongoing.

The construction is at the very end stage as of January 2024.
