Background

Iran Gas Trunkline-8 (IGAT-8) is an operational natural gas transmission pipeline operated by National Iranian Gas Company. IGAT-8 is a part of the Iran Gas Trunkline more broadly - a series of large diameter pipelines constructed from areas in southern Iran to centers of consumption in Northern Iran.[3]

Five new natural gas compressor stations were launched as a part of IGAT-8 in March of 2017.[4]
