Background
Island Power Producers (IPP) LNG Terminal is a proposed LNG import terminal in the Bahamas.[5][6] The terminal is being developed by Bahamian company IPP and the Indian company INOXCVA (INOX India Ltd.).[5][6] The terminal is being built to supply the 60 MW combined cycle power plant that is being developed by IPP "to provide shore power to cruise ships at the Nassau Cruise Port."[5][6] This terminal, like other LNG terminals developed by INOXCVA, will be a mini LNG terminal that, according to the company, "will become the largest installation of shop-built double-walled vacuum-insulated LNG storage tanks globally."[5][6] The project includes 10 vacuum-insulated tanks, each able to store 1,500 m3 of LNG and a regasification system.[5][6]
