JSW Ispat Special Products Raipur steel plant, also known as Monnet Ispat & Energy Limited Raipur and JISPL Raipur, is a 250 thousand tonnes per annum (TTPA) direct reduced iron (DRI) and Induction Furnace steel plant operating in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, India.

Background

The JSW Ispat Special Products Raipur steel plant (formerly known as Monnet Ispat & Energy Limited Raipur) was established under JISPL Raipur; in 2018 it was acquired by JSW Steel and AION Investments after JISPL went bankrupt.[3][4]

As of February 2022, JSW Ispat said it might be transferring some of its assets (worth Rs 417 crore) to a new subsidiary of JSW Ispat named Mivaan Steels Limited so that the JSW Ispat could focus on special steel products.[5][6]
