Background

The power station has 50 MW of coal-fired capacity.[11] A 200 MW gas-fired power plant Jiangyin Gas Thermal power station started operation in 2022 to replace the coal-fired units.[12] The coal- and gas-fueled power stations are at the same site.[13]

Gas plant details

The gas-fueled power plant is owned by Jiangyin Gas Turbine Thermal Power Co., Ltd. (华能江阴燃机热电有限责任公司) and has 200 MW of operating capacity. [14][13][15] An additional 489 MW of capacity was announced. [14]
