Jiangyin LNG Terminal (Zhongtian Energy), also known as 中天能源江阴LNG接收站, is a shelved (confirmed) LNG import terminal in China.

Background
Jiangyin LNG Terminal is a proposed 2 mtpa LNG import terminal in Jiangsu, China. It was proposed by Zhongtian Energy and was planned for operation in 2018.[6]
In August 2018 it was reported that construction of the first storage tank was complete.[7]
The parent company Zhongxing Tianheng Energy Technology (Beijing) Co., Ltd. Changed its name to Zhongxing Tianheng Energy Technology (Beijing) Co., Ltd. in October 2019.[8]
The company complained that the local government breached the contract, causing a delay in construction.[9] The local government didn't appear to have responded. The project was planned to operate in 2021.[9][10]
In 2021, the project was shelved by the local court for three years, with constructions to restart in 2024.[11]
The Parent company Zhongxing Tianheng Energy Technology (Beijing) Co., Ltd., was delisted in July 2022. The owner of this project was put for auction. The project was reportedly 99% completed. [12]
In January 2023, the owner of the LNG project, Jiangsu Honghai Energy Co., Ltd., was ordered by the court to enter the bankruptcy and reorganisation. No final result comes out as of February 2024.[13][14]
As of June 2025, there is no news about its status. It's considered shelved.
