Jianlong Xilin Iron and Steel Co Ltd (西林钢铁集团有限公司, 建龙西林钢铁有限公司), also known as Xilin Iron and Steel Group Co., Ltd., is a steel plant in Yichun, Heilongjiang, China that operates basic oxygen furnace (BOF) and blast furnace (BF) technology.

Background

The company has announced its vanadium extraction furnace capacity replacement plan for 2023(Design standard vanadium slag production capacity: 175 ttpa). According to the plan, the construction of the vanadium extraction furnace must ensure that the vanadium-titanium magnetite ore ratio in the feed is higher than 60%, and the vanadium content in the blast furnace iron must be greater than 0.2%. The new vanadium extraction furnace is arranged separately from the steelmaking converter and operates in a dual-mode for vanadium extraction, and it is not to be used for steelmaking.[1]
