Background
Jinan cogen power station was being developed to replace captive combined heat and power (CHP) plants and supply heat to Jinan City.
The environmental impacts assessment report was published in January 2023.[1]
As of April 2023, EPC biddings were ongoing. Harbin Electric Co. won the contract to supply steam turbines and generators in 2023.[2]
In June 2023, construction appeared to have begun at the power station.[3][4]
