Background on Project
Hangzhou Jinjiang Group has proposed a coal-electricity-aluminum integrity project in Xinren County since 2015. The plan includes 2 mtpa aluminum-water production with 4000MW captive coal power capacity and other supporting projects. There will be 3 phases to carry out the plan. The first phase contains 0.5 mtpa aluminum-water production and 3 captive coal power units of 350MW each.[1][2]
However, there have been no developments on the power station since 2015, and it appears to be cancelled.
