Background

In 2023, Shell announced the discovery of the Jonker-1X deep water exploration well. The Jonker field has an estimated 300 million BOE. In March 2024, QatarEnergy stated that data is being evaluated with further appraisal planned to determine the size of recoverable potential of the discovery.
