The Judith Gas Pipeline is a proposed natural gas pipeline in Australia.
Location
The pipeline would run from the offshore Judith Oil and Gas Project (Victoria, Australia) to the Orbost Gas Plant or a new gas plant adjacent to it in Victoria, Australia. The gas would ultimately be brought to the Eastern Gas Pipeline via an onshore gas export pipeline.[1]

Background
In 2019, Emperor Energy signed an MoU with Apa Group for midstream infrastructure to support the development of the Judith gas field off Victoria. The agreement included scoping a 40 km, 300 mm subsea gas pipeline capable of supporting 90 TJ/d, a gas processing plant onshore at Orbost, and a spur line connecting this plant to the Eastern Gas Pipeline.[2]
The Pre-FEED was completed in 2021, with an expected cost of AU$500 million shared as base capital costs. The spur line would be 11 km, 250 mm and would connect to the Eastern Gas Pipeline at the existing Newmerella gas metering station.[3]
A 2023 overview of the project included the possibility of directing the subsea gas pipeline to the existing Orbost Gas Plant instead of constructing a new plant.[1]
As of 2025, the upstream Judith Gas Field was still in development. A July 2025 announcement shared that the larger gas project was moving towards FID.[4]
