KG Steel Incheon steel plant, also known as KG Dongbu Steel Incheon (formerly), Dongbu Incheon Steel, Kage Dongbu Steel Incheon, Keiji Dongbu Steel Incheon, is a steel plant in Incheon, South Korea that operates electric arc furnace (EAF) technology.

Background

The plant began operation in 1972 and produced pre-coated steel for the first time in South Korea. In 2010, the plant began operating an electric arc furnace.^[1] Dongbu acquired the Incheon plant in the 1980s.^[2] Dongbu Incheon Steel Co Ltd merged with KG Group in April 2019.^[3] The company changed its name to KG Dongbu Co Ltd in March 2020 and to KG Steel Co Ltd in March 2022.^[4]
