Background

Kampot Cement Dang Tong Cement Plant is the largest cement factory in Cambodia. Cambodia's Prime Minister described the plant as the country's first modern cement factory. The plant's owner, Kampot Cement is a joint venture company established by Khaou Chuly Group, a Cambodian construction and engineering firm, and Thai-owned Siam Cement, investing $127 million in the factory.
