Background

The proposed Kudu plant has been on the drawing board since at least 2016.[9]

In 2018, Eskom and Copperbelt Energy Corporation pulled out. Still, it retains viability for the players involved, including Namibia's government, ESKOM (the South African electric company), and the Copperbelt Energy Corporation in Zambia. Over the years, multinationals involved with the offshore gas field, the Kudu Gas Field, have included Chevron, Shell, and Gazprom.[9]
