The Kupe Gas Pipeline is an operating natural gas pipeline in New Zealand.
Location
The pipeline runs from the Kupe offshore gas field to an onshore processing production station before being transported to Kapuni where it connects with the First Gas Transmission Pipeline.[1]

Background
In 2006, contracts were awarded by Origin Energy for the overall development of the Kupe Oil and Gas Field (New Zealand), including a pipeline to shore and an export pipeline for sales gas. Commercial production was expected in 2009.[6]
The project came online in March 2010, with the expectation of providing 15% of New Zealand's annual needs.[5]
