Background
The Leuna power station operates at the Leuna chemical site, providing 68 MW of combined heat-and-power (CHP) through two gas-fired combined cycle turbines.[11] An additional combined-cycle gas fired turbine provides a further 39 MW of electrical power to the facility.[12]
