Zheneng Liuheng power station (浙能中煤舟山煤电公司六横发电厂) is an operating power station of at least 4000-megawatts (MW) in Liuheng, Putuo, Zhoushan, Zhejiang, China. It is also known as 浙能六横电厂二期项目 (Unit 3 & 4).

Background on Project
Zheneng Liuheng power station is a two-unit coal-fired power plant with a total capacity of 2,000 MW in Zhejiang Province. The plant began operating in 2014.[5] [6][7]
Expansion
The capacity proposed at Datang Wushashan power station was transferred to the the Zheneng Liuheng power station.[8]
In late 2021, the local government anticipated getting a permit by the end of the year and beginning construction soon after. It was planning to install controversial CCUS technology to curb emissions.[9][10]
The additional capacity was permitted in February 2022. The first unit was planned to be completed and put into operation by the end of December 2024.[11]
Unit 3 had the steel roof truss of the turbine hall hoisted in September 2023[12]. In 2024, the generator stator was hoisted in January[13], the generator rotor was inserted in March[14], and the unit was connected to the grid in June[15]. In July 2024, the unit passed the 168-hour trial[16].
Unit 4 had the boiler beam hoisted in August 2023[17]. In 2024, the generator stator was hoisted in July[18], boiler ignition succeeded in September[19], and the unit was connected to the grid in October[20]. In November 2024, the unit passed the 168-hour trial[21].
