Lixin Banji power station (中煤新集电力安徽利辛板集电厂) is an operating power station of at least 3320-megawatts (MW) in Banji, Lixin, Bozhou, Anhui, China.

Background on Project
SDIC is sponsor of a two-unit coal-fired power plant of 2,000 MW in Anhui Province. In November 2013, SDIC signed a construction contract with Shandong Electric Power Engineering Consulting Institute Corp., with construction slated to begin in 2014 and be completed in 2016.[5]
Environmental permits were issued in March 2014.[6]
The power station went online in 2016.[7][8]
Expansion
In March 2020, two additional 1,000 MW units at the power station (Units 3-4) were listed as a priority project for Anhui province, as part of a UHV power hub in the Yangtze River Delta.[9]
In January 2021, two new 660 MW units at the power station were permitted for construction.[10][11]
As of May 2021, construction was expected to begin by early 2022.[12] It began in September 2022.[13]
Phase II Unit 3 saw the chimney topped out in August 2023[14], and the turbine foundation was poured in October[15]. In November, the generator stator was hoisted[16], and the cooling towers were completed[17]. In January 2024, the chimney steel liner was installed[18], and the boiler hydraulic test passed[19]. In March, the high-pressure cylinder was hoisted[20]. In June, boiler ignition succeeded[21], and flushing was completed in July[22]. Unit 3 was connected to the grid on August 1[23] and passed the 168-hour trial on August 31[24].
Unit 4 had its plant power system energized in June 2024[25], was connected to the grid on September 10[26], and passed the 168-hour trial on September 30[27].
Ownership
The parent company changed from SDIC to China Coal and Wenergy Group in December 2016.[28]
