Los Ramones power station (Central eléctrica Los Ramones) is a 550-megawatt (MW) gas-fired power station in the state of Nuevo León, Mexico.

Background

In late 2017 and early 2018, Los Ramos power station underwent vegetation removal processes and 20 hectares of land preparation with the approval of SEMARNAT (Secretaría de Medio Ambiente y Recursos Naturales).[5] Los Ramones operates using two GE H-Class gas turbines and is one of the most efficient gas-fired peaker plants within Mexico.[6] The plant began operating in June 2020 after $515 million of investment capital.[4]
