Background

Vattenfall states that its goal is to phase out fossil fuels for power generation and states the potential of converting Magnum to run on hydrogen.[7][8] As of May 2021, Vattenfall had completed a feasibility study for running the plant on hydrogen, and intends to move forward with the project.[9] In addition to power generation, a green hydrogen production facility is also planned to be built alongside the power plant.[10]
