The Malaxmi is an Indian infrastructure company which also has an interest in coal-fired power stations.

Coal power stations

On its website Malaxmi states that it is developing a 1320 megawatt coal-fired pwoer station at Janjgir in Champa district in the State of Chhattisgarh, India with KVK Power & Infrastructure Private Limited(KPIPL), a Special Purpose Vehicle formed by Malaxmi Group & KVK Group."[1]

It has also been reported that the company has proposed the Malaxmi Mega Thermal Power Project (Thakurbari), a 2,640 megawatt coal-fired power station at Thakurbari Village East Singbhum in Jharkhand. The Ministry of Coal states that coal for the project is sought from Central Coalfields Limited.[2]
