Mantri Power

From Global Energy Monitor

Mantri Power, a subsidiary of the Mumbai-based Mantri Realty Limited, is proposing to establish a 540 megawatt coal-fired power station at Bela, approximately 40 kilometres away from Nagpur. The Purti Group is a 25% shareholder in Mantri Power.[1]

A 2007 report on the proposed Bela power station (Mantri Power) stated that "around 60% of the power generated will be supplied to the state power utility, while 25% would be sold to other buyers across the state. The rest will be kept for domestic consumption in the company's projects".[1]
