Meghnaghat-II power station is a 590-megawatt (MW) gas-fired power plant under construction in Dhaka Division, Bangladesh.[1] The plant is also referred to as Summit Meghnaghat II Power Company Limited or SMIIPCL.[2]

Background
This project is currently under construction.[3]
The Daily Observer reported that "Summit and GE Power signed the equipment and engineering, procurement, and construction scope of the project in 2017 while the services agreement was signed in 2018."[4]
The plant is part of Bangladesh's goal of adding 40 GW of installed power capacity by 2030.[5]
