Background

The Mellacheruvu Cement power station is a captive coal-fired power station at the Mellacheruvu Cement Factory.[5] The captive power station consists of a 15 MW unit commissioned in March 2006, and a 60 MW unit commissioned in March 2012..[5][6] The Mellacheruvu Cement factory and its captive power station are owned by My Home Industries Pvt. Ltd. (MHIPL).[5]
